Grimston is an unspoilt village with a 13C church, some lovely local walks and rides and an excellent family run village pub 'The Black Horse Inn', providing delicious lunches and evening meals. Other nearby villages boast further fine pubs and restaurants.
Set close to the junction of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, Grimston provides an excellent centre from which to explore and enjoy the lovely and varying countryside of 'Hidden England' from Rutland Water in the south, the Vale of Belvoir on the doorstep and Sherwood Forest to the north.
Our nearest town Melton Mowbray, seven miles to the southeast, apart from being famous for its Pork Pies and the locally produced Stilton “the king of cheeses”, is a true market town with its livestock auction (Tuesdays), street and farmers markets and also the fine St. Mary's Church (1170) the stateliest parish church in the county, where Sir Malcolm Sergeant was once organist.
