Gorse House is ideal for business or leisure. It is conveniently located for Leicester, Nottingham and East Midlands Airport for those happy to travel 15 miles for some true country peace. Situated in the small, quiet, conservation village of Grimston, where passing traffic is less frequent than ridden horses; why not bring your horse with you for a holiday, it provides the ideal spot for one night or a week's relaxation.

Grimston is a picturesque, unspoilt village with a 13C church and some lovely local walks and rides. It also boasts of an excellent restaurant 'The Olde Stocks' and a family run pub 'The Black Horse Inn', which provides lunches and evening meals of a high standard. Both are within 100 yards walking distance.

The reception rooms and bedrooms are light and airy and the house is furnished throughout with antiques and good paintings.

The 2 bedrooms, which have their own separate staircase, have recently refurbished en-suite facilities. The principle bedroom is 19 feet by 15 feet, large enough to house a round Victorian table for those wanting to do some paperwork during their stay and has a third bed if required. Both bedrooms have pleasant outlooks, one over open fields (and sheep), and the other over the small formal garden in which guests can relax.

A comfortable sitting room is available for guest use and has the benefit of a highly effective wood-burner. Breakfast takes place round the single large dining table, which most guests say they would like to take home.

We offer a wide choice of breakfast the timing of which is flexible, catering both for those wishing to make an early start and for those needing to recover from late night celebrations.
